Sometime in 2002, I attended a very good friends wedding. I was very excited about this event because a lot of old friends were going to be attending and it would some sort of a great reunion of friends and foes alike. Friends to refresh our goings and catch up with old gist, while the foes will be for making amends. I arrived early so as to get a prime spot where I could mingle well. But this was going to be a fateful day and one I will not forget in a hurry.

It is unbelievable to me that almost 2 years have passed since I wrote “Dream Big” at the prodding of our illustrious Sam. Now, when I read that article I think “Did I really write that?” Folks, I wasn’t a writer then, and I am still not. According to my good friend Branka, I am the Queen of Simplicity. That I am! I don’t do a lot of analyzing or philosophizing simply because once I do, I cannot make a decision for the life of me. Everything gets jumbled and confused. For the last couple of weeks, I have been unemployed for the first time in my life. By the end of this month, the projections are that more than 10% of the population in the US will be out of work. Wow! That sure does not make it a piece of cake to find new employment now, does it?

In many countries of the world, the celebration of Christmas on December 25th is a high point of the year. But why? Can it have any real meaning for us today? Is there a 'real' Christmas message?
From November onwards, it is impossible to forget that Christmas is coming. Coloured lights decorate many town centres, streets and shops, along with shiny decorations, and artificial snow painted on shop windows. Also in streets and shops, 'Christmas trees' (real or plastic evergreen 'conifer' trees) will also be decorated with lights and Christmas ornaments.
